To get Intelligence and Wisdom

The following stotra on Karthikeya is from Rudra Yaamala Tantra. It is short but also remarkably powerful. The stotra is credited with developing the praGnYaa(intelligence) and has been given by Skanda/Karthikeya himself. praGYaavivardhana ( increasing praGYaa) mantras are very important in the vedas and the tantras.

Lord Karthikeya is the son of Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvathy who killed the demons like Tarakasura and saved the people. He is also called as "Muruga", "Kanda", "Shanmuka", "Shadanana" etc., A very rare stotra is shared here for chanting which a person will gain extreme Intelligence and Wisdom even if he / she  is a dull minded person.  It is said that even a mentally retarded child would become normal by reciting this prayer.

Lord Karthikeya is also known as Deva senani Skanda, and the one who worships him will also gain extreme Valour, Strength, Courage, Fearlessness etc.,

Lord Karthikeya himself said, 

The person who reads my 28 names told here with complete attention and concentration, in the morning obtains knowledge and speech equal to Brihaspathi even if he is dumb.  Any person reads my names as Maha mantras obtains great intelligence without doubt. 

Pragya Vivardhana Karthikeya Stotram

प्रज्ञा विवर्धन कार्तिकेय स्तोत्रं

ப்ரக்ஞா விவர்தன கார்த்திகேய ஸ்தோத்ரம்

Sri Ganeshaya Namaha |
श्रीगणेशाय नमः । 
ஶ்ரீ கணேசாய நம: |

Skanda Uvacha |
स्कन्द उवाच ।
ஸ்கந்த உவாச |

Meaning:
Salutations to Lord Ganesha.
Lord Subrahmanya told:

Yogiishvaro Mahaa-Senah
Kaartikeyo[a-Aa]gni-Nandanah |
Skandah Kumaarah Senaaniih
Svaamii Shankara-Sambhavah  || 1 ||

योगीश्वरो महासेनः
कार्तिकेयोऽग्निनन्दनः ।
स्कन्दः कुमारः सेनानीः
स्वामी शङ्करसम्भवः ॥ १॥

யோகீச்வரோ, மஹாஸேன:
கார்த்திகேயோ(அ)க்னி நந்தன: |
ஸ்கந்த: குமார: ஸேனானீ:
ஸ்வாமீ சங்கர ஸம்பவ: || 1 ||

Meaning:

Lord of Yogas, great commander, He who was looked after by Karthika stars, The child of fire, the lad, the commander and the God born out of Shankara.

Brahmacaarii Shikhi Dhvajah |
Taaraka ArirUmaa Putrah
Krauncaa Rishca Ssadananah || 2 ||

गाङ्गेयस्ताम्रचूडश्च
ब्रह्मचारी शिखिध्वजः ।
तारकारिरुमापुत्रः
क्रौञ्चारिश्च षडाननः ॥ २॥

காங்கேயஸ்தாம்ர சூடச்ச
ப்ரஹ்மசாரீ சிகித்வஜ: |
தாரகாரி ருமாபுத்ர:
க்ரௌஞ்சாரிச்ச ஷடானன: || 2 ||

Meaning:

Son of Ganga, he who wears brass, bachelor, One with peacock flag, he who killed Tharaka, son of Parvathi, He who broke Krouncha mountain, God with six faces.

Shabda brahma samudrashca 

Siddhah Saarasvato Guhah |
Sanatkumaaro Bhagavaan 

Bhoga moksha phalapradah || 3 ||

शब्द ब्रह्मसमुद्रश्च
सिद्धः सारस्वतो गुहः ।
सनत्कुमारो भगवान्
भोगमोक्षफलप्रदः ॥ ३॥

ஷப்த ப்ரஹ்ம ஸமுத்ரச்ச,
ஸித்த: ஸாரஸ்வதோ குஹ: |
ஸனத் குமாரோ பகவான்
போக மோக்ஷ பலப்ரத: || 3 ||

Meaning:

God of the sound of ocean, One with divine powers, One who is learned, one who removes darkness, One is son of fire, One who grants pleasure as well as salvation.

Sharajanmaa Gannaa dhiisha 

Puurvajo Mukti maargakrt |
Sarvaagama prannetaa Ca 

Vaancchitaartha pradarshanah || 4 ||

शरजन्मा गणा धीश
पूर्वजो मुक्ति मार्गकृत् ।
सर्वागम प्रणेता च
वाञ्छितार्थ प्रदर्शनः ॥ ४॥

ஷரஜன்மா கணாதீஷ:
பூர்வஜோ முக்திமார்க க்ருத் |
ஸர்வாகம ப்ரணேதா ச
வாஞ்சிதார்த ப்ரதர்சன: || 4 ||

Meaning:

One born because of an arrow, God of good qualities; One who is the greater, one who shows salvation, One who is worshipped by all Vedas, And one who gives whatever is desired.,

Ashtaa vimshati naamaani
Madiiyaa niiti Yah Patthet |
Pratyuussam Shraddhayaa Yukto
Mooko Vaacaspatirbhavet || 5 ||

अष्टाविंशति नामानि
मदीयानीतियः पठेत् ।
प्रत्यूषं श्रद्धया युक्तो
मूको वाचस्पतिर्भवेत् ॥ ५॥

அஷ்டாவிம்சதி நாமானி
மதீயானீதியஹ் படேத் |
ப்ரத்யூஷம் ச்ரத்தயா யுக்தோ
மூகோ வாசஸ் பதிர்ப்பவேத் || 5 ||

Meaning:
A devotee of mine, who reads these twenty eight names, Daily at day break with attention, Would become great, devoid of attachment and a great scholar.

Mahaa mantra mayaaneeti 

Mama Naamaanukirtanam |
Mahaaprajnyaa mavaapnoti 

Naatra Kaaryaa Vicaarannaa || 6 ||

महा मन्त्र मयानीति
मम नामानुकीर्तनम् ।
महाप्रज्ञा मवाप्नोति
नात्र कार्या विचारणा ॥ ६॥

மஹா மந்த்ர மயாநீதி
மம நாமானு கீர்த்தனம் | 

மஹாப்ரக்ஞா மவாப்னோதி
நாத்ர கார்யா விசாரணா || 6 ||

Meaning:

These names composed by me, If sung, Would make one extremely intelligent.
