இறைவனை வணங்கினால் போதுமா? மனம் ஓரிடத்திலும், கைகள் மட்டும் வணங்கிய நிலையில் இருப்பதால் என்ன லாபம்? மாணிக்கவாசகர் தன் பார்வையை இறைவனின் முகத்தின் மீது செலுத்தினாரா? அவரது திருவடியை வைத்த கண் வாங்காமல் பார்க்கிறார்.
அவனது பாத தரிசனம் கிடைத்தால் போதும்! வாழும் போதும் இன்பம்! மறைவுக்குப் பிறகும் இன்பம் என்கிறார்.நாளை முதல் திருப்பள்ளியெழுச்சி பாடுவார் மாணிக்கவாசகர்.

பொருள்:
♫சிவபெருமானே! எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் முதலாவதான உன் பாதமலர்களை வணங்குகிறோம்.
♫எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் முடிவாயுள்ள உன் மென்மையான திருவடிகளை பணிகின்றோம்.
♫ எல்லா உயிர்களையும் படைக்கின்ற உன் பொற் பாதங்களை சரணடைகின்றோம். எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் வாழும் காலத்தில் இன்பமான வாழ்வு தரும் மலரடிகளை பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
♫ உயிர்களை அழித்து இறுதிக்காலத்தை தருகின்ற இணையற்ற காலடிகளைப் போற்றுகின்றோம். திருமாலாலும், பிரம்மாவாலும் காண முடியாத தாமரை பாதங்களைக் காண்பதில் பெருமிதமடைகின்றோம்.
♫எங்களுக்கு பிறப்பற்ற நிலை தரும் பொன் போன்ற திருவடிகளை பற்றுகின்றோம். இவ்வாறு உன்னோடு ஐக்கியமாகி, உன் நினைவுகளுடன் நீர்நிலைகளில் நீராடி மகிழ்கிறோம்.
♫எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் முடிவாயுள்ள உன் மென்மையான திருவடிகளை பணிகின்றோம்.
♫ எல்லா உயிர்களையும் படைக்கின்ற உன் பொற் பாதங்களை சரணடைகின்றோம். எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும் வாழும் காலத்தில் இன்பமான வாழ்வு தரும் மலரடிகளை பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
