Sri Ganesha Pancharatnam is a sthotra composed by Sri Adi Sankaracharya on Lord Ganesha, the elder son of Lord Shiva. The meaning of this sthotra clearly depicts the qualities and nature of Lord Ganesha along with the benefits of praying him.
Pancharatnam means five jewels. Guru Sri Adi Shankaracharya praised the Lord Ganesha by presenting these five stanzas as five jewels, hence the name Sri Ganesha Pancharatnam. The last part of this sthotra explains the phalastuti or the benefits of reading this sthotra.

I bow to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles who happily holds the modakas in his hand, who wears the crescent moon on his hand, who bestows salvation and liberation from misery, who shows direction to those who are lost without a protector, who is the cause of destruction of Asuras, and who destroys all which are not good.

I seek permanent refuge in the great Lord, who creates fear in the enemies of His devotees, who shines with the crimson hue like the rising sun, who is worshipped by the devas and asuras alike, who removes sufferings of his devotees, who is the God with a elephant head, who is the Lord of Devas and bestower of Wealth, and who is the Commander of the Shiva's attendants.

I prostrate before the ancient elephant God, who destroys the suffering of the needy who has been venerated from the ancient times, who is the eldest son of the Lord who destroyed the pride of the demons, who destroys the demonic forces and negative tendencies in his devotees, who dissolves the delusions of this illusory world, who wears serpents like Dhananjaya as ornaments and who is fierce like the elephant in rut.

I meditate forever solely on that God with the broken single Tusk, who is very lustrous and pretty, who is the son Lord Shiva, who killed Yama, the God death, who is formless, absolute, whose form is beyond the grasp of the intellect, who is infinite, who tears asunder all obstacles and who dwells in the hearts of Yogis forever.
